Teacher

Hello, I’m Ben Rengstorf, the Culinary Arts teacher at Roosevelt High School Classes offered.

I completed a degree in education from the University of Minnesota (Spanish and English as a Learned Language) in 2006, and have been a classroom teacher ever since! In 2017, I completed a degree in Culinary Arts from Saint Paul College, after which I began teaching classes in culinary education in Minneapolis and at the University of Minnesota. Along with teaching, I am also working on a degree in Sustainable Food Systems from Prescott College.

Together with Shannon Nordby, who teaches Urban Agriculture, I co-chair the Roosevelt Food Systems department.
